What You Can Expect With Us
We tailor every session to your unique needs, identity, and goals. Our therapeutic approach integrates research-backed modalities with a warm, relational presence. You can expect to be met with curiosity, compassion, and respect—never judgment or pressure.
We understand that starting therapy can be intimidating, especially if you’ve never done it before. Our goal is to create a space where you feel supported and empowered to show up as you are. Growth unfolds at your pace—and we’re here to walk alongside you.
Curious About Your First Session?
Here’s how we’ll spend our time together in that first conversation—at a pace that feels right for you:
Intake & Background: We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, current challenges, and your personal history (relationships, work, mental health background).
Goal Setting: We’ll explore what you want to get out of therapy and what positive change could look like for you.
Establishing Comfort: There’s no pressure to share everything at once. You set the pace. We’ll review confidentiality and answer your questions.
Therapy Style: We'll describe our approach and how we typically work, so you know what to expect.
Logistics: We’ll review scheduling, payment, and how often we’ll meet moving forward.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just come as you are.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice—or missed appointments without notice—may result in a cancellation fee equal to the full session rate.
Because insurance cannot be billed for missed sessions, these fees are the client’s responsibility. In the event of three late cancellations or no-shows, we may discuss whether continued care is the right fit at this time.
